In 2003, I created a collaborative sculpture with Ray Masters as part of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s “DinoMite Days”, which featured over one hundred dinosaur sculptures installed throughout Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. For the proposal, our brainstorming resulted in the design of an Anti-Asteroid Suit for the poor Torosaurus about to become extinct. A humorous theory we created was that dinosaurs were far more advanced than we realized and as the Apocalypse loomed, the less intelligent dinosaurs were conned into buying these suits in hope of surviving. It was truly a unique project and experience to work together to create such a playful and creative sculpture.
