This ongoing collaborative project with The Glass Furnace (Istanbul, Turkey) was begun as part of an Artist Residency during the summer of 2014. The pieces shown here are various explorations of hot glass blown into different types of metal forms I made. Ultimately, the goal is to explore the possibilities of glass and metal in all the different glass studios of The Glass Furnace (Hot Glass, Lampworking, Fusing/Slumping, and Casting) by utilizing the Metalworking & Enameling studio there. I've continued the work by collaborating with Aaron Tate, glassblower in Dallas, Texas.
