In May 2021, I completed the book, The Metalsmith Primer, an alphabet book of metalsmithing and jewelry tools, materials, and processes. Each letter is graphically comprised of tools related to the term in the book. For example, "A is for anvil, the blacksmith's best friend." I based each letter on Helvetica, which is why the font I created is now called Toolvetica. The border of each letter's page was inspired by cross-stitching sampler patterns but if you look closely, each square is made of different crossed tools.
